Innovation

The pace of change is accelerating, while some of the most promising talent and ideas in tech remain undiscovered because they don’t have the resources to translate their ideas and inventions into commercially viable innovations.

To help foster innovation and move student and faculty projects and research beyond university walls, N+1 immerses our students and industry partners into an innovation ecosystem equipped with state of the art, entrepreneurial-focused resources, events, and collaborations. These include:

  • Hackathons: Partner companies can host hackathons in which students compete against one another to tackle real-time problems. The winning students receive a monetary prize, and the opportunity to continue working on the innovation through sponsorships and seed funding.
  • Innovation courses: For-credit courses with a devoted focus on next-gen technologies and the potential for innovation.
  • Innovation Lab: This learning-creator space gives students and professors the chance to use and explore new technologies generously donated by our partner companies.
  • Seed fund: This fund will invest in promising innovations and provide unique opportunities for students across computer science, engineering, and the business school to learn how to evaluate and make investments.
